Rusty Rails is a five-member Canadian string band with decades of shared stage experience. The band performs a mix of bluegrass, swing, Canadian folk, traditional roots, old time, Celtic and Gospel. Powerful harmonic vocals combine with fiddle, acoustic guitar, mandolin, 5-string banjo, bass, and occasionally the pennywhistle, for an enjoyable eclectic sound, interwoven with humorous lore.
Rusty Rails has entertained at festivals, concerts, charitable events and celebrations across B.C.
The band features Len Hatlelid on guitar, dobro and vocals; Randy Moore on mandolin, guitar and vocals; Sheldon Friesen on banjo, ukulele and vocals; Denis Leclerc on fiddle, low whistle, harmonica and vocals; and Leo Kilroe on bass, guitar and vocals.
